This Is How I Did It "®" (Episode No. 30 )

This is my very first episode officially as a Registered Trademark! In this episode, I’m sharing my journey and how much I had to fight for my mark: “SUPER BOND GIRL”. I would like to dedicate this video to my future grandchildren, just in case I don’t get to meet them.

In 2012, I filed a trademark application for my brand “SUPER BOND GIRL”. In 2014, Danjaq LLC, the owners of the James Bond Films, filled an opposition to my mark claiming confusion with myself and the women portraying the “Bond Girl” characters in their films.

I knew that I couldn’t afford to hire a trademark attorney to fight for my mark against the owners of the James Bond Films. So, with the help of my daughter Rio, who was 16 at the time, we began to fight for my application. My teenage daughter Rio and I were the ones who responded and filled all the trademark paperwork against Danjaq.

In August 2015, as we began to prepare to go to trial with Danjaq; my ex-husband decided that he didn’t wanted custody of our daughters anymore. I had to go back to family court and file for sole legal custody. Like always, I represented myself in family court.

In October 2015, I was granted sole legal and physical custody of my daughters Rio and Sabrina. Unfortunately, due to my family legal matters, I neglected my trademark application and I had to let it go. I was mentally exhausted.

My plan was to file a new trademark application for SUPER BOND GIRL in 2016. Unfortunately, my youngest daughter, Sabrina, committed suicide on March 19. Really? WTF? How much more can I take?!!

In 2017, I decided to focus on myself. I knew that I needed to get stronger to fight for my mark again. I was never gonna give up on SUPER BOND GIRL because SuperBondGirl is me!!! I worked in silence, not telling anyone about what I was doing.

In May 2018, I filled a brand new trademark application. On December 1st., I woke up as a Queen! I didn’t get an opposition! I’m pretty sure that there are a few very unhappy people in the entertainment industry right now. But, I don’t give a fuck!!! – I am the one and only SUPER BOND GIRL.
